The Applied Photonics Lab at Nanjing University, led by Professor Fengqiu Wang, is conducting research at the crossroads of applied photonics and materials sciences. The group is currently focused on the following frontier research themes, including:

(1) Optical spectroscopy of 2d materials and heterostructures;        
(2) Novel photonic devices based on emerging semiconductors;
(3) Ultrafast lasers and frequency-comb applications;             

Our research programs are of highly interdisciplinary nature. They are both challenging and interesting. We welcome students and researchers with backgrounds in physics, materials science, and electrical engineering to join our team.
